Breaking: Thunder Strikes Three FRSC Officials To Death In Ogun

Three officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, men have been reportedly struck to death by thunder on Wednesday in Ijebu North East local government area of the state,
It was gathered that they were struck to death around 10 am this morning by thunder during a downpour accompanied by thunderstorm.
Further finding has it that the thunder struck as the FRSC officials were planning for the early morning parade within the precinct of their office located at the old toll gate.
One of the sources said, “The incident is not ordinary as death by thunder is usually as a result of punishment for wrongdoing.”
Sympathisers were said to have thronged the scene to catch a glimpse of the victims.
Policemen in the town were said to have visited the scene, but refused to remove the corpses and stayed away
A resident said the policemen did not touch the corpses because the corpse of anyone killed by thunder could not be buried until after some traditional rites were done.
Though, no official statement has been released to the effect, but a senior member of the Corps, who pleaded anonymity as he was not authorised to speak on the lightening incidence, however confirmed the development, as he disclosed further that there were over 10 officials at the exact office, when thunder struck three of their colleagues.
A source close to the scene of the incidence said that traditionalists, otherwise known as Sango worshipers have already taken over the area in a bid to perform some rites on the bodies of the deceased.
