ABEOKUTA – Ogun State House of Assembly, Monday, set up a five-man committee to investigate an allegation of gross misconduct against the Speaker of the House, Olakunle Oluomo.
The committee set up during Monday plenary included: Hon. Musefiu Lamidi, representing Ado Odo/ Ota 2 State Constituency to serve as Chairman, Oluseun Adesanya as Vice Chairman, just as Honourables Babatunde Tella, Damilola Soneye, Lukman Adeleye, Fola Salami and Olusegun Odunuga would serve as members, while the Director of Legislative Service, Mr. Temtope Hokon would serve as Secretary.
The House led by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, deliberated on the Speaker’s response and advised that the Speaker should step aside pending the outcome of the report of the Adhoc Committee set up by the House at the plenary to look into the matter.
