Armed Forces Day: Apostle Sanyaolu Celebrates Fallen Nigerian Heroes

The Assistant General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the Ogun Central Senatorial District, Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu (ABS) has joined eminent Nigerians to eulogise the gallantry of the Nigerian Armed Forces in combating insurgency and banditry in the country.

The APC Chieftain enjoined Nigerian Citizens, particularly residents of the Ogun Central Senatorial District to give maximum support towards caring for the injured and the families of the fallen Nigerian heroes.

In a Statement released from his media office on Saturday morning in Abeokuta, Apostle Biodun Sanyaolu (ABS), whose father died as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Nigerian Civil War as known as Biafran War (1967-1970) stated amongst other things that “It is quite expedient that we use a day like this to pray and solemnly reflect on the sacrificial lives of our military heroes who paid the supreme price in their quests to secure national peace and protect our terrorial integrity”

He urged Nigerians to rebuild trust and confidence in the nation’s system and leadership noting that the our national challenges would soon become a thing of the past.

The Armed Forces Remeberance Day is a day set aside in Nigeria on every 15th of January in commemoration of Servicemen of the Nigerian Armed Forces and also in the sweet memory of fallen heroes who paid the supreme price in the service of their motherland.

The day is always characterized by the solemn convergence of all Nigerian military & paramilitary forces interspersed with the laying of wreath and releasing of ceremonial pigeons, he concluded
