APC Stakeholders Rally Behind Adeleye as Banjoko Donates ₦40 Million to Ifo/Ewekoro Campaign
AGBADO – The second day of the consolidation and consultation tour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, received a significant boost on Tuesday as APC chieftain and former Ogun Central Senatorial aspirant, Chief Muraino Banjoko, pledged ₦40 million to support the party’s forthcoming electioneering campaign in the constituency.
The announcement was made during an APC stakeholders’ meeting held in Agbado, Ifo Local Government Area, where party leaders, stakeholders, and members applauded the donation, describing it as a clear vote of confidence in Adeleye’s candidacy and a testament to the growing unity within the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the gathering, Chief Banjoko praised Adeleye for her commitment to grassroots development, highlighting the numerous constituency projects she has facilitated over the years. He expressed confidence in her ability to provide effective representation at the National Assembly, describing her emergence as the APC candidate as divinely ordained.
He urged party members to remain united and mobilise support for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, stressing that collective efforts would guarantee victory at the polls.
Addressing party faithful, Hon. Adeleye thanked APC leaders and stakeholders for their unwavering support and confidence in her leadership. She called on members to set aside differences arising from the party’s primary election and work together to ensure the success of all APC candidates.
According to her, the task ahead requires unity, sacrifice, and a shared commitment to the progressive ideals of the party rather than personal interests.
She also paid tribute to various support groups, particularly the IFO L’OKAN Movement, for their loyalty and dedication to the APC.
In an emotional reflection on her political journey, Adeleye announced a ₦1 million donation towards the renovation of the Agbado and District Multipurpose Hall, describing the facility as a landmark in her political career.
“It was within this same hall in 2006 that I was first declared the House of Assembly candidate for Ifo II State Constituency. My pledge to renovate the hall is my way of preserving a place that occupies a special chapter in my public service journey,” she said.
The APC candidate further urged residents and party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and actively participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
She appealed for massive support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), the Ogun Central Senatorial candidate, Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu (OMOYAYI), her own candidature for the House of Representatives, and the re-election of Hon. Fatiu Folawewo Salami to the Ogun State House of Assembly.
“Our party remains strongest when we are united. The collective interest of the APC must always take precedence over individual ambitions,” Adeleye stated.
The stakeholders’ meeting attracted several prominent APC leaders and stakeholders, including Hon. Bamidele Alao Obadina, Chief Derinsola Adebiyi, Dr. Sikirulai Ogundele, Hon. Dapo Adeyemi, Hon. Johnson Fatoki, Hon. Moruf Paramole, Engr. Saheed Ariori, Hon. Oluwole Enilolobo, Chief Mrs. Kikelomo Delano, Apostle Matthew Oladele, Chief Muraino Banjoko, Dr. Ademola Adesina, Hon. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment by party leaders and members to work together to secure overwhelming victories for all APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
