Abiodun to Flag Off Construction of Lee Group’s 450-Hectare Industrial Park in Ogun

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, is set to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for Lee Group’s 450-hectare industrial park along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, near Makun Village and the Sagamu Interchange, on Thursday, November 12, 2026.

The proposed development, by the multinational conglomerate, is designed to accommodate 29 factories alongside commercial, hospitality, conference and recreational facilities, in a move expected to strengthen Ogun State’s industrial capacity and attract further investments.

The factories are expected to produce a range of goods, including footwear and leather products, plastics, packaging materials, personal care products and household items.

The project’s strategic location near the Sagamu Interchange is expected to provide businesses with access to major consumer markets in Ogun and Lagos states, as well as distribution opportunities across the West African region.

Beyond manufacturing, the industrial park is expected to create direct and indirect employment, stimulate commercial activities and provide opportunities for local suppliers, logistics operators, contractors and small and medium-scale enterprises.

The development aligns with the Abiodun administration’s focus on industrialisation, investment promotion and job creation, leveraging Ogun State’s proximity to Lagos, road infrastructure and established industrial clusters.

The groundbreaking ceremony will mark the formal commencement of the project, further advancing the state’s ambition to consolidate its position as a major manufacturing and distribution hub in Nigeria and West Africa.
