BREAKING: Funmi Efuwape Sweeps APC Remo Federal Constituency Primary, Defeats Incumbent Elegbeji by Wide Margin

Sagamu – Immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Funmi Efuwape, has emerged as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Remo Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, following a landslide victory in the party’s primary election.
Results announced from the three local government areas in the constituency – Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North – show Efuwape polling a total of 22,452 votes to defeat the incumbent, Princess (Dr.) Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji, who managed just 16 votes.

Efuwape, who previously served as Commissioner for Special Duties in Ogun State, was the consensus candidate for the Remo Federal Constituency seat. Her victory represents a stunning defeat for the incumbent lawmaker, Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji, who was widely expected to retain the party’s ticket.
