O-ORBDA Boss, Ashiru Congratulates Governor Abiodun on Unanimous Adoption as APC Ogun East Senatorial Candidate

ABEOKUTA — The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (O-ORBDA), Dr Adedeji Ashiru, has extended warm congratulations to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, on his unanimous adoption as the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate for the Ogun East Senatorial District in the 2027 General Elections.
In a formal congratulatory message dated April 21, 2026, and made available to journalists on Tuesday. Ashiru described the endorsement as a powerful testament to the confidence the people of Ogun East repose in the Governor’s leadership.
The endorsement took place on Monday at the Adeola Odutola Hall in Ijebu-Ode, where a broad spectrum of party stakeholders and leaders from the Ogun East Senatorial District convened and spoke with one voice in favour of Governor Abiodun’s candidacy for the Red Chambers Dr. Ashiru, in the letter personally signed by him, noted that the decision reflects both the political unity of the ruling party and the widespread acknowledgement of the Governor’s developmental strides since assuming office in 2019.
“Since assuming office in 2019, Your Excellency has redefined the trajectory of governance and infrastructure development in Ogun State, Dr. Ashiru wrote. “Under your watchful and strategic leadership, Ogun East has witnessed a renaissance of meaningful progress. You have been, and continue to be, a worthy ambassador of Ogun East—championing a legacy of accessible road networks, urban renewal, and economic empowerment that directly uplifts the lives of our people.”
The O-ORBDA Chief Executive further commended the Governor’s commitment to the “Building Our Future Together” agenda, stating that it has transcended political rhetoric to become a tangible reality for residents of the state Dr. Ashiru pledged the unalloyed support of the Authority’s management team, assuring the Governor of their steadfast backing both in the lead-up to the 2027 elections and in the continued pursuit of transformative governance.
“We stand firmly with you not only in the journey toward the 2027 elections but also in the continued pursuit of the transformative governance you have exemplified,” the statement read. “It is a call to higher service, and we do not doubt that you will bring the same energy, vision, and integrity to the Red Chambers that you have brought to Oke-Mosan.”
Governor Dapo Abiodun was unanimously adopted alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s 2027 Presidential candidate and Senator Olamilekan Solomon Yayi as the APC gubernatorial candidate for Ogun State.
