AMORAN Ogun Mourns OGSPAM Chairman, Akeem Bodunrin
ABEOKUTA — The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Ogun State Chapter, has expressed grief over the death of the Chairman of the Ogun State Park Management Services (OGSPAM), Alhaji Akeem Bodunrin, popularly known as Iyeru.
Bodunrin reportedly died on Wednesday after a brief illness.
In a condolence message signed by the Chairman of AMORAN, Ogun State Chapter, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, the association described the death as a painful loss to the family, the transport sector and Ogun State.
Sokoya, on behalf of the leadership and members of AMORAN, commiserated with the deceased’s family, colleagues, friends, associates and members of the transport community.
According to him, Bodunrin was a prominent figure in Ogun State’s transport sector, having previously served as Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) before becoming Chairman of OGSPAM.
He noted that Bodunrin’s contributions to the administration and development of the state’s transport sector would be remembered, adding that his death had created a significant vacuum within the industry.
The AMORAN chairman said the association was consoled by the impact Bodunrin made during his lifetime and the lives he touched through his leadership and service.
Sokoya prayed that Almighty Allah would forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.
He also prayed for strength and fortitude for the bereaved family, colleagues and associates to bear the loss.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace,” Sokoya said.
