My Victory at Election Tribunal is Triumph for Justice and Democracy- Senator Salisu.

The senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, has described his victory at the National Assembly Election petition tribunal as a triumph that reaffirms his faith in the principle of justice, true democracy and inalienable rights of people to choose their representatives.

Senator Salisu welcomes the judgement of the tribunal with renewed vigour and determination to ensure that the people of Ogun Central Senatorial District do not only enjoy quality representation in the National Assembly but also have a credible voice that articulates their demands at the federal level.

Senator Salisu, who is Chairman of Senate Committee on ICT & Cyber Security, expresses his heartfelt gratitude to the judiciary for their steadfast commitment to justice. He commends the panel for their diligence, thoroughness and professionalism. “The judiciary has once again demonstrated its dedication to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that the voice of the people is heard, we owe them our deepest gratitude.”

He also commends his team of lawyers for their professionalism, industry and dedication which have been pivotal to the victory at the tribunal.

The Senator, popularly called Omoyayi in political circles, also thanks the leadership and members of All Progressives Congress (APC) for their steadfast support during the election and in the course of the petition at the tribunal.

He further adds, “This victory is not just mine; it belongs to every citizen of Ogun Central who placed their faith in me and APC. Together, we will continue to work tirelessly for the progress and development of our beloved Senatorial District, you are the heartbeat of our democracy” he says.

In a call for unity and respect for the democratic process, Senator Salisu urges the Petitioner, the PDP candidate, Olumide Aderinokun, to accept the verdict of the election petition tribunal in good faith. “Our democracy thrives when we respect its institutions and decisions. I extend an olive branch to my brother, inviting him and others who may belong to other political parties to join hands in the service of our constituents and the betterment of our district. I will remain a Senator for all. Together, we shall achieve even greater heights.”

Senator Salisu, whilst thanking God again for the victory, concludes that the victory is a testament to the enduring strength of democracy in Nigeria, and it marks the dawn of a new era for the people of Ogun Central Senatorial District.
