The Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon (Prince) Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo has emphasised that the ninth legislature under his leadership would be participatory.
OluomoHe stated this while featuring on a Radio Programme in Abeokuta , ‘Sunday Morning Live on Fm’.
Prince Oluomo pointed out that the legislative arm cannot perform optimally if the people are not involved in its activities.
He reiterated that the legislature in the state would collaborate with the other arms of government in a bid to deliver dividends of Democracy to the people.
The Speaker who advocated for a constitution Amendment to cater for Independence of the Legislature called for a law to make the Job of Legislation a part-time affairs.
While answering questions from callers on the Programme, Prince Oluomo advised residents of the state to be patient with the present government.
The Speaker called for the full implementation of the state’s Anti-Land grabbers Law towards curbing insecurity in the State.
He urged Youths to be creative and resourceful by thinking Out of the Box to create self employable jobs instead of looking for white collar jobs always.
