…denies bribery allegations
The transport Unions committee set up by Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to oversee the affairs of all the transport unions in the State has denied collecting bribes from the present Union leaders as being speculated on social media.
A statement by the Transport Committee media team issued on Sunday
The committee headed by a reputable legal practitioner and comprises of respectable party leaders across the State also assures the party faithful that they cannot be cowed by financial inducements to work against the set objectives given to the committee by the Governor.
The committee maintained that they were only using the set out laws guiding them to discharge their assigned responsibilities. And they were only putting necessary templates in place to facilitate easy take over of the job.
The committee in discharging its responsibilities and giving the Stakeholders utmost sense of belonging had invited all the contestants jostling for one position or the other from NURTW, RTEAN, ACOMORAN, AMORAN, TORAN, TWORAN in order to make their assignment easier and to broker peace in the state.
The committee further reiterated that ” *We have not picked any of the contestants to the chairman of any of the Unions”*
The committee thereby seek for the cooperation and support of every Stakeholders in ensuring peaceful coexistence among them.
