Odeda LG Boss, Folasade Adeyemo Celebrates 100 days in Office, Empowers Indigenes, Renovates Secretariat

The Executive Chairman, Odeda Local Government, Hon. (Alhaja) Folasade Adeyemo has rolled out drums to celebrate her administration’s 100 days in office.

Activities marking the celebration commenced on Tuesday 2nd November, 2021 with a Novelty football match played between Salawu Abiola Comprehensive High School and Egba-Odeda High School as the host.

The 100 days celebration climaxed with a Stakeholder’s meeting held on Wednesday 3rd November, 2021 at the Local Government Secretariat.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo thanked His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, the Executive Governor of Ogun State for providing the platform for her administration to serve the people of the Local Government. She equally expressed her appreciation to the people of the Council area for voting massively for her during the last Local Government elections.

The Council boss who also thanked all the political, religious and traditional leaders across the local government for honouring her invitation to the celebration enumerated her administration’s achievements in 100 days which cut across the health sector, infrastructure and agriculture.

Notable among the achievements of the Hon. Adeyemo’s led administration include the resuscitation of borehole at the Council Secretariat, Renovation of the office buildings at the Secretariat and purchase of two brand new Bajaj Motorcycles for security purpose. Others include the foundation laying of 66 lock up shops and fourteen open stalls at Gbonagun Market, financial support of Ten Thousand Naira each to fifty petty traders across the ten Wards of the Council area and donation of two wheel chairs to physically challenged people.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of Philanthropic Award to Chief (Mrs.) Bunmi Ibraheem for her Philanthropic gesture towards the development of the Local Government, presentation of an Award to the Chairman, Hon Folasade Adeyemo by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Odeda Local Government branch and commissioning of some projects within the Local Government Secretariat.

Dignitaries at the event include Chief Yemi Sanusi, the Ogun State APC Chairman, Hon Olumide Osoba, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, representing Odeda State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Chief (Hon.) Musulumi Saka, the APC Chairman in Odeda Local Government and Hon Semiu Bola Lawal, the immediate past Chairman of the Council. Others include Hon. Nasiru Yaya Adigun, the vice chairman, Mrs Funke Adeniji, the Head of Local Government Administration, Directors and Heads of various Department, Traditional rulers, political and religious leaders.
