Odeda LG Boss, Adeyemo Inaugurates IGR Committee, Aims to Boost Revenue Generation
Odeda, Ogun State – Odeda Local Government Chairman, Hon. (Dr.) Folasade Adeyemo
, has taken a significant step towards boosting the local government’s revenue generation by inaugurating the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) Committee.
The newly formed committee, chaired by Vice Chairman Hon. Adigun Yaya Nasiru, comprises a diverse group of individuals, including councilors, top government officials, and financial experts.
Other members are : Hon. Kuyoro Segun, councillor representing Alagbagba Ward 4 (Member), Hon. Seyi Ojelabi, councillor representing Alagbagba Ward 9(Member), Head of Local Government Administration, Dr. Adekoya Olusoji (Member), Director Water and Environmental Sanitation Department, Sanitarian Adeyemi Kuburat(Member), Director General Service and Administration, Mr. Oyekan Johnson (Member), Director Finance and Supplies, Mrs Sanni Ganiyat (Member), Head Of Budget Planning Research and Statistics Department, Mr Olufemi Jones (Member), Internal Auditor, Mrs Yetunde Emerue (Member) and Mr Jamiu Ogunleye (Secretary).
The members are tasked with developing innovative strategies to increase IGR and ensure efficient revenue collection.
In her inaugural speech, Hon. Adeyemo emphasized the importance of IGR as a crucial source of funding for essential public services. She expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to deliver tangible results and improve the financial health of the local government.
Hon. Folasade Adeyemo, a seasoned educator and politician, has been at the helm of Odeda Local Government since 2021. Her administration has focused on improving infrastructure, education, and healthcare in the area ².
The IGR committee’s inauguration is a significant step towards achieving Adeyemo’s vision for Odeda Local Government. With the committee’s expertise and dedication, the local government is poised to witness a significant increase in its internally generated revenue.
