Ijebu East Inaugurates 10th Legislative Council
Ijebu East Local Government Area has inaugurated 11 new councillors to form the 10th Legislative Council. The ceremony, which took place at the local government headquarters in Ogbere, was attended by dignitaries, community leaders, and members of the public.
Dr Kehinde Oluwadare, the Executive Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area, commended the newly inaugurated council members, stating that their dedication and hard work would play a vital role in addressing the needs and aspirations of the community.
During their first sitting, the councillors elected Hon. Faseyi Akindele from Itele Ward as the Legislative Leader of the House, Hon. Abass Sidikat Afolake from Owu as the Deputy Leader, Hon. Kemi Aliu from Imobi Ward 2 as the Majority Leader, and Hon. Adeniyi from Ijebu Imusin Ward 1 as the Chief Whip.
Dr Oluwadare urged the councillors to prioritize the welfare of their constituents and work collaboratively for the development of Ijebu East.
