Music maestro, Saheed Osupa proposes Empowerment initiatives for Ogun youths

Fuji Music Maestro, King Saheed Akorede popularly known as Osupa has indicated interest in empowering Youths of Ogun State through documentation of his songs in books.

Saheed Osupa made this public in his Lagos Office, during a meeting he initiated with the Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor on Youths and Sports, Comrade Olamide Lawal.

The Fuji king noted that he was particularly interested in engaging the youths so as to have his Songs printed in permanent forms.

“All my songs teach morals. They are intellectually driven. If we have them in books, even generations yet unborn would benefit from the morals in the books” said Osupa

He pointed out that the books, when published would be archival materials due to the cultural colouration embedded in his songs.

He explained that the process of publishing the books would not take more than six months and he was ready to feature an Ogun upcoming star in his next album.

Responding, Special Assistant to the Governor on youth and Sports, Comrade Olamide Lawal assured that youths in Ogun State were ready to benefit from his benevolence and intelligence.

Comrade Lawal who was at the meeting in company of some executives of the APC Youth League as well an upcoming hip hop star, ‘Prince Hardey’, called for further empowerment opportunities for the youths.

A don of Sociology, Professor Adetola Obatunde who was part of the visitation team, described Saheed Osupa’s music as philosophical and full of education, tradition and morals.

Professor Obatunde who is to oversee the project, assured that the songs when documented would be in Volumes and simplified into curricula for easy usage of learners.

“Saheed Osupa’s songs, when converted into books will aide teaching of Citizenship education in tertiary Institutions and Civic education in pre-tertiary schools” He maintained

According to him, ” We are proposing to title the book; King Saheed Osupa’s Adventure in African Culture through Fuji Music”.
