Osoba who said he was glad to set his feet hale and hearty again on Abeokuta soil after spending months abroad in a United Kingdom based hospital where a knee replacement surgery was performed on him, said the governor is doing well to keep the state on course.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) leader cited road works, housing projects, health sector, agriculture among others as examples of the giant strides legacy achievements of Dapo Abiodun.

“I read stories on the social media that Abiodun did not hand over the affairs of the state to anyone when he travelled to the UK to visit me when I had a knee replacement surgery. He equally visited Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well. What the governor has done to check on us is not out of place, so I wondered why some would describe that as abandoning governance in the state.

“The governor regularly monitored my state of health on phone to know how am faring. He is a caring governor. He deserves our commendation,” Osoba said.

The Akinrogun of Egbaland spoke on Wednesday night when he received in his Ibara Abeokuta GRA residence, the elected local government chairmen, explaining that it was wrong for some people to take Dapo Abiodun’s visit to London in September and November, to see him when he was in the hospital to mean abadoning government or governance in the Gateway State.

The council chairmen led by their leader and Chairman, Ijebu – Ode Local Government Area(LGA), Tunde Emilola – Gazal were in Osoba’s residence to welcome him back from UK and rejoice with the Ace reporter on his successful recuperation after knee replacement surgery abroad.

The Aremo lauded Abiodun for his care, love and prayer for him and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu when both of them were in the hospitals for knee surgeries, saying aside physically visiting to cheer them up, Abiodun was also regularly monitoring the situation on phone from Nigeria.

He urged the local government chairmen to support and cooperate with governor Abiodun to further bring quality governance and development to all the nooks and crannies of the state.

Speaking earlier, Chairman, Ijebu – Ode Local Government Area(LGA), Tunde Emilola – Gazal who is the chairman, body of local government chairmen in the state, commended Osoba for ensuring that the progressives retain Ogun State during the last general election.

He said they would continue to leverage on his fatherly advice, wisdom, knowledge and experience to bring development to their people.
