Ijebu East LG Chairman, Hacco Launches ITN Distribution Campaign

Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde Hacco, the Executive Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, initiated a campaign to distribute Insecticidal Treated Nets (ITNs) to residents.

The launch event took place at Itawade Market Square, Ijebu Ife, on November 19, 2024.

During the event, the chairman emphasized the importance of using ITNs to prevent malaria, particularly among vulnerable groups such as pregnant women and children under five.

He also demonstrated the correct way to use the nets.

The ITN distribution campaign is part of Ijebu East Local Government’s ongoing efforts to promote public health and combat malaria.

By providing access to these essential tools, the government aims to significantly reduce the burden of the disease in the community.
