Gov. Abiodun, Senator Salisu, others receive Tinubu in Abeokuta amidst tumultuous welcome

The Senator for Ogun Central Senatorial District, Senator SHUAIB AFOLABI SALISU has joined , Governor Dapo Abiodun, Chief Olusegun Osoba, Hon. Olumide Osoba, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, Hon. Tunji Akinosi and other dignitaries well as party officials warmly received President Tinubu in Abeokuta.

Salisu expressed profound gratitude to Ogun Central Senatorial District party faithfuls for the overwhelming reception accorded Mr. President in Abeokuta on Thursday, conveying his best wishes to them during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

A statement made on his social media accounts,he said ” I had the honor of joining His Excellency Governor Dapo Abiodun in extending a warm welcome to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his courtesy visit to the Alake of Egbaland and other respected Traditional rulers in Ogun Central Senatorial District.

Our dear state has been chosen as the destination for the President’s first official visit since assuming office. It brings back memories of Abeokuta, where he delivered influential political messages, including his iconic “Emi Lokan” catchphrase, during his campaign.

As a proud member of the winning team, I look forward to working with the President from the National Assembly in realizing the transformative “renewed hope mantra” that will positively impact the lives of our people.

The President, who arrived in Abeokuta at about 2.05 pm, received a rousing welcome from a massive crowd of Ogun Central Senatorial District indigenes who had waited long hours for his arrival.
