The Governor is still said to be angry about the role of Awujale in bringing the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki as the chairman of the last ojude oba festival.

The Awujale was said to have made it known to the governor that the festival is not a political one and he will appreciate if the governor respects his decision to keep it that way.

Governor Amosun also told his associates that he doesn’t really care about votes from Ijebuland as none of their votes got him re-elected in 2015. The governor also accused the Awujale of masterminding the loss of the re-election of his political son, Hon Tola Banjo, a former deputy speaker of the Ogun state assembly.

The Governor said the Awujale of Ijebuland was obsessed to having a Governor from Ijebuode because he the Awujale wants an Ijebu son to give him a befitting burial if he is called by his ancestors after 2019.
