Ex Odeda Chairman, Fatai Adebimpe buries mother in style

A former Caretaker Chairman of Odeda local government and a chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC); Hon. Fatai Adebimpe, has laid his mother, Juliana Adunni Adebimpe, to rest in Odeda town, Ogun State.

Mrs Adebimpe Juliana Nee Oyekanmi was born early in 1940s and she passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022.

Julianah Ola Adunni ADEBIMPE Nee Oyelekan was born in the early 1940s to the family of Late Lamidi Jayeola Oyelekan and Late Mrs Saratu Oyelekan of Itoko dynasty. She schooled at the Anglican school Agoro within the period of 1948 to 1952 and Anglican school Isan Araromi within the period of 1952 to 1955, for her primary Education and then proceeded to Christ African Modern School Igbore, Abeokuta under the Western Region within the period of 1956 to 1958.

Iya Odeda, as she was fondly called, joined The Local Government Service, Odeda Local Government, Abeokuta, Ogun State on the 1st August, 1981. Her appointment was confirmed on the 29th July, 1983 and she retired on the 31st July. 2009.

While working at the Local Govt, she joined Christ Life Bible Church, Odeda where she worked for God as a member of Prayer Warriors. She was also a member of Evangelism and Follow-up Team until her Old age. A very humble, Peace loving, Caring and loyal christian. Late Madam Julianah Adunni ADEBIMPE will be remembered for her generousity and supports for God’s work not only at her Branch Odeda also at the church headquarters, Gbangba, ABEOKUTA.

During her lifetime, she travelled to Gabon. A neighbouring African country, the Northern part of Nigeria – Nguru (Borno State) and Kano. Mama was fluent in Yoruba (her dialect), Hausa, Igbo, English and French languages.

IYA ODEDA is survived by children, grandchildren and great grand children.

The ceremonies started with a wake on Thursday, November 12, 2022, and it was attended by friends, family members and well-wishers, as they gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased. It held at the son residence in Odeda town.

Daisi Elemide,Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon.Semiu Bola Lawal, former Odeda Local government chairman , Ex Chairman, Orile-Ilugun LCDA, Hon. Mofoluk, Special Assistant on Youth Development to Ogun state governor, Comrade Desmond Olujimi, Media personality, Comrade Timothy Odedina and other important personalities within and outside Ogun state.
