Edo 2020: Olumide Osoba leads Team Ogun’s march past parade

The chairman, House Committee on sports and development at the House of representative, Hon Olumide Babatunde Osoba, today led the Ogun state Contingents in Benin City, the Edo State capital, for the opening ceremony of the 20th National Sports Festival.

The sports loving member of House of Representatives representing Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi-Owode federal constituency lead out his state’s contingents in the ceremonial march past parade which held Tuesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

“He(Honorable) is not just coming to sit at the VIP, he will be with the athletes to lead them in the march past because he always love to relate with them as his children,” his media aid disclosed.

The Festival was opened with the commissioning of facilities and the Opening ceremony declared open by Minister of Youth and Sports Development Sunday Dare ,who represented,the President Muhammadu buhari

The programme started around 6:00pm and run for two hours with a performance of the rich Edo cultural heritage, while musician Fire Boy performed

Minister of Youth and Sports Development Sunday Dare officially welcome the athletes, while Governor Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy Comrade Philip Shaibu spoke on their readiness for the festival

The National Sports Festival which commenced on the 2nd of April will come to an end on Wednesday 14th April, 2021
