Edo 2020: Ogun Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Oluwadare Kehinde Joins Other Sport Dignitaries in Presenting Medals

With barely few hours to the close of the 20th National Sports Festival tagged Edo 2020, the Ogun State Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde was part of dignitaries who decorated Medalists at the sporting events held yesterday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State.

The Commissioner presented the medals to the Althetes on behalf of His Excellency, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, MRF, the Executive Governor of Ogun State.

Earlier, the Honourable Commissioner while addressing members of the State Contingents encouraged them to be at their best as the Festival gradually comes to an end. He charged them not to relent on their oars noting that the hottest part of any battle is when it is gradually approaching its tail end. He implored them to keep aiming higher as he who aims at the moon would at least catch the stars.

The Honourable Commissioner reminded the Ogun Athletes that the Government of *His Excellency Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun MFR* is poised at encouraging good performances, conduct and impressive appearances. He asked them to forge ahead in their quest to win more medals for the State whilst projecting the good image of the Gateway State.

At the end of activities yesternight, Ogun State had so far gathered thirteen (13) Gold, thirteen (13) Silver and Twenty Five (25) Bronze Medals, defeating other Thirty (30) States to remain number seven (7) on the Medals Table.

The Edo 2020 Sports Festival is billed to end on Wednesday 14th April, 2021.
