CPN Commends Gov Abiodun On e-Governance

Computer Professionals of Nigeria has commended Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for his giant strides towards digitalizing governance in the state.

Registrar of the professional body, (CPN ), Mr Muhammed Bello Aliyu let this out during the 6th induction ceremony for 2019/2020 Computer Science Graduating students of the Federal University of Technology (FUNAB), Abeokuta.

Bello Aliyu who charged the inductees on the essence of the induction as to showcase professionalism , initiate new digital innovations which could be adopted by Ogun state government , noting that mostly all governance procedures would soon be incorporated into the world of Information Technology (IT)

He said the present administration in Ogun state has made an indelible mark in IT with establishment of OgunTechHub which gives opportunity to various degrees of IT professionals to showcase innovative ideas,undergo digital trainings, conduct Computer Based Test (CBT) services, among others.

Delivering her speech, Director Standard regulation,Planning & Research, Bureau of Information Technology (BIT),Ogun state,Mrs Olatundun Adekunte who is also a fellow of Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN), said Ogun state government is IT driven and that has enabled it to put in place Ogun State Digital Economy Infrastructure Project (OGDEIP) to centrally connect government to remote areas of the state.

Adekunte admonished the inductees to embrace professionalism at all cost, assuring that Ogun state government has established OgunTechHub for anyone with unique digital solutions that would improve governance and developed its economy.

” His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun is committed to youth development especially in the area of Information Communication Technology (ICT) . You can approach the Bureau of Information Technology (BIT) and get access to unlimited digital opportunities.” Adekunte emphasized.
