Buhari to honour Sport Minister, Sunday Dare with excellence award Oct 21

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Friday in Abuja honour Sunday Dare, the youth and sport minister, with Nigeria Excellence Award in public service.

The award, it is understood, follows Dare’s contribution and commitment to the growth and development of sports in the country.

The federal government had nominated the sports minister to receive the award at the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NESPS).

At the event on Friday, there would be opportunity for questions and answer with the sports minister.

Aside from ensuring the best podium finishes for Team Nigeria in recent international competitions, Dare has initiated programmes that have led to the rehabilitation of some of the country’s sports structures that had been neglected before his assumption of office in 2019.
