Breaking: K1 De Ultimate Allegedly Disrupts Flight, Jumps in Front of Plane to Prevent Takeoff
Abuja – Veteran Fuji musician, K1 De Ultimate, reportedly caused a major scene at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday, when he allegedly jumped in front of a ValueJet aircraft to prevent its takeoff. The incident occurred after a confrontation with a flight attendant over a flask the musician was carrying.
According to sources, the musician, who was on board the plane, was seen drinking from a flask. A flight attendant, suspecting the content was alcohol—a substance prohibited on Nigerian flights—approached K1 and requested that he hand over the flask. The Fuji star reportedly refused, claiming it contained medication prescribed by his doctor. Following his refusal, the flight crew deboarded him.
An eyewitness account stated that an enraged K1 then rushed to the front of the aircraft on the tarmac to stop it from taking off. He was seen standing directly in front of the plane, while ground personnel frantically pleaded with him to move.
Despite the pleas, the pilots of the aircraft reportedly proceeded with the takeoff. K1 and the ground personnel were forced to flee to avoid being struck by the plane’s wing.
In a related development, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) today announced the suspension of the flight pilots. The suspension was for breaching aviation safety protocols by taking off and, in doing so, endangering the safety of ground personnel and other airport users.
Beyond the pilots’ suspension, the aviation authority is reportedly considering placing K1 De Ultimate on a “no-fly list” due to his conduct. A no-fly list is a database of individuals who are prohibited from boarding commercial flights, typically due to suspected links to terrorism or other security threats.
