Breaking: Ewekoro LG Chairmanship Aspirant, Hon. Adesina Sikiru, Denies Allegations Amidst Petition Controversy

In a swift response to the recent petition circulating against him, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa (Eskay), Chairmanship Candidate for Ewekoro Local Government, has categorically denied any wrongdoing. Adesina, who is also the Immediate Past Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, addressed the allegations in a statement released yesterday.

According to Adesina, he has not received any official notification from the Ogun State House of Assembly regarding a probe or investigation. However, he expressed his willingness to cooperate fully with the Assembly and provide necessary clarifications.

Adesina emphasized that his administration’s records are available for verification, stating, “I have always acted with integrity and in accordance with due process during my tenure as Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government Area.” He denied engaging in any improper conduct, including the sale of land to individuals.

The chairmanship Aspirant questioned the timing of the petition, which emerged immediately after his victory in the primary election on September 3, 2024. Adesina believes this is a politically motivated attempt to discredit him.

In a show of transparency, Adesina announced that he would appear before the Ogun State House of Assembly today to provide further clarification and clear his name. He expressed gratitude for the trust and support of his backers during this challenging time.

As the political landscape in Ogun State continues to unfold, this development raises questions about the nature of the petition and the motivations behind it. Stay tuned for updates on this story as more information becomes available.
