Three Suspects Arrested for Kidnapping and Murder of 15-year-old in Ogun
Ogun State, Nigeria – The So-Safe Corps has apprehended three suspects in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a 15-year-old boy, Yahu Muhammad, in Ogun State.
According to a statement released by the State Commander of So-Safe Corps, Commander (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, the suspects – Umar Muhammad, 24, Audu Muhammad, 22, and Umar Danda, 22 – were arrested on Saturday, September 7, 2024, after a ransom of N500,000 was paid but the victim was not released.
The victim was kidnapped while rearing cattle in the Akara forest area and was later found dead at the kidnappers’ den in Olodo Karaoke along Anigbado-Idiemi road.
The So-Safe Corps’ Special Squad was deployed to rescue the victim, but unfortunately, they arrived to find that the suspects had already killed him. The suspects have been transferred to the Imala Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
The State Commander commended the operatives of the Vigilante Group for their assistance in apprehending the third suspect, Umar Danda. The incident is currently under investigation.
