APM thugs raze Ogun Deputy Speaker’s building, vehicles, others

Hell was let loose yesterday in Ifo when thugs allegedly loyal to the Allied Peoples Movement, APM unleashed terror on supporters of the All Progressives Congress,APC and the deputy speaker of the Ogun state House of Assembly, Hon. Olakunle Oluomo.

An eye witness who preferred anonimity explained that an APM member who worked as a political thug during the last election was traced to the venue of an event by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

The Officers of SARS were at the event having been informed that the Suspect in question was in illegal possession of fire arms.
The policemen got him arrested with the gun in his possession but his colleagues attacked the police in a bid to prevent him from being taken away.

According to the source, the thugs forcefully retrieved the gun from the policemen who were harassed and maltreated by the thugs.

An onlooker was said to have been killed in the process of dragging the fire arms with the Policemen who later managed to escape from the scene.

Our source noted that ‘the thugs later regrouped and started attacking any APC supporter in sight, accusing them of inviting police to arrest one of them’

Another informed source revealed that the APM thugs later mobilized themselves in large numbers, moved to the constituency office of the deputy Speaker of the Ogun state House of Assembly, Hon. Olakunle Oluomo set ablaze his three Mercedes 42 seater buses, one Isuzu Luxurious Bus and a 36 seater coaster bus that the honourable use in conveying School children to and from school free of charge.
As at the time of filing this report, the constituency of the deputy speaker and that of the member representing Ifo/Ewekoro federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Ibrahim Isiaka had been burnt down completely by the thugs.

Meanwhile, the deputy Speaker, has called on security agencies in the state to step up its efforts in ensuring that lives and property in the area are safe.
In a statement he personally signed early this morning, Hon Oluomo appealed to the Security personnel in the state to ensure they bring perpetrators of the dasardly act to justice.
