Yayi Sets 2 Million-Vote Target for Tinubu in Ogun in 2027

ABEOKUTA — The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has said the state is targeting at least two million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Adeola made the declaration at the inauguration of the City Boy Movement in Ogun State, held at the Ake Palace Pavilion in Abeokuta.

The APC candidate described the large turnout at the event as an indication of growing support and mobilisation for the party across the state.

According to him, President Tinubu’s administration has delivered major infrastructure projects with significant relevance to Ogun State, citing projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and the Badagry-Sokoto Highway.

Adeola urged residents of the state to sustain their support for the President, saying the achievements of the administration provide a basis for stronger mobilisation ahead of the 2027 election.

He also commended Seyi Tinubu for his role in mobilising support for President Tinubu, describing the growth and organisation of the City Boy Movement as impressive.

Speaking on the turnout at the inauguration, Adeola said the gathering reflected Ogun State’s readiness to support the APC under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun.

He assured party supporters that mobilisation activities would be sustained across the 20 local government areas of the state as the APC works towards its stated target of securing two million votes for President Tinubu.

The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele; the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Kunle Salako; the Osi of Egbaland, High Chief Bode Mustapha; and other government officials and APC stakeholders.
