A league of youths in the All progressive Congress, Ogun state Chapter will hold what it tagged ‘Political Intolerance and its effect on our Democracy’ walk in the state tomorrow.
The event which begins from 10.00 am on Tuesday,11th February, 2020 at Ori Omi, Oke sokori, Abeokuta, Ogun state.
The APC youth league made this known in its press statement signed by the state coordinator, Comrade Olamide Lawal and Aremo Akinlolu Agunbiade. Chairman Planning Committee, Ogun Freedom Walk 2020 respectively.
During the event, the group will also a short seminar titled “Political Intolerance and its effect on our Democracy” is billed to hold at The June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta immediately after the Freedom walk,
”It is noteworthy that we are feeling humbled and highly honoured by the love already shown to our group (APC, Youth League,Ogun State) by various youth groups and leaders in the Gateway State.
It is important to remind everyone that this programme is proposed to preach the need for Political Tolerance and Peaceful Co-existence among residents and indigenes of Ogun state (irrespective of affiliations).
We don’t intend to use the rally and Seminar to foment trouble, create Disaffection or Acrimony among our leaders Neither do we intend to use the Events to heat up the polity in any way.
A short seminar titled “Political Intolerance and its effect on our Democracy” is billed to hold at The June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta immediately after the Freedom walk.
The lecture shall be delivered by erudite scholar and Orator, Ajiroba Dapo Oke while the Discussion segment with five Discussants shall be led by the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo who is also a Victim of Political Intolerance experienced last year, 2019.
Other Discussants include Hon Adijat Adeleye, Omooba Abiola Ogundeko, Akanni Oladimeji Balogun and Princess Peju Sote.
All we are Preaching is POLITICAL TOLERANCE which is the only way to move our state forward, guard our Hard-earned Democracy and join hands with the Prince Dapo Abiodun’s Agenda of BUILDING OUR FUTURE TOGETHER.
We want our Members, Supporters and Admirers to troop out en-masse in their yellow tops and caps as our sourvenirs may not suffice for everyone joining us from the 20 Local government areas of our State.”
