” Igbimo Yoruba Condemns Call For The Arrest of Chief Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, Advised Oyo State Governor To Apply Caution.
The apex coalition body of all Yoruba groups globally: Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye umbrella body to the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW) and Yoruba Council if Women salutes Chief Adeyemo Sunday Igboho, Aare Agbaakin Akoni of Yoruba Land on his recent quest to salvage Yoruba land from the daily attacks of the dreaded Fulani terrorists hiding under the veil of common herdsmen or domiciled residents, but clandestinely committing unmitigated havoc ranging from kidnapping, banditory and other sundry crimes.
We equally call peaceful amicable dialogue between the Oyo State Government under the amiable leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde and Chief Sunday Igboho on the recent cracks in the wall of understanding and need for stringent synergy is now.
We use this medium to caution the IGP to thread softly on the call for arrest of Chief Igboho, considering the hydra headed nature of the crises, which is more positively driven than criminal.
We equally seize this opportunity to call all Yoruba leaders, Federal and States Legislators, and other Non Yoruba Groups, men of the Nigerian Police Force to join voices and support the Oyo State Amotekun Operatives, and the ongoing joint security intervention measures led by Chief Sunday Igboho, while all our gallant men of the Nigerian Army, DSS and other key traditional volunteers and security frontiers are advised to key into this struggle of liberation from oppression and violence perpetrated by the dreaded Fulani terrorists occupying various towns and villages in Yoruba Land.
Hence, our urgent appeal to collectively confront and repel the dreaded Terrorists led Fulani Killer Herdsmen in Oyo State and other parts of Yoruba Land, who have been on a violent rampaging killing spree, raping of our older women and young girls, mass destructions of properties and forceful takeover of farm lands to mention a few.
We equally use this medium to condemn the unwarranted forceful invasion of the Nigerian Military’s support of the herdsmen to graze in some parts of Yewa province of Ogun State, while residents were beaten like animals, this are provocative acts that could lead to unimaginable consequences.
We call on President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government to exercise will power via the will the office of the National Security Adviser alongside the Inspector General of Police to immediately swing into full action towards ending another imminent round of insurgency in the Southwest, having ravaged the North for many decades till date.
However, if we see further persistent call for the arrest of Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, we shall not hesitate to commence strict legal action for the protection of his fundamental rights at a court of competent jurisdiction forthwith.
We have emphatically spoken.
Aare Oladotun Hassan,Esq,
President.
Akowe Oodua Siyanbade Adekanbi, Secretary General.
