We will keep our doors open, Abiodun tells Ogun IPAC

The Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun has assured the state’s Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria ( IPAC) of its collaboration and cooperation.

Abiodun, represented by his senior media consultant, Tunde Oladunjoye gave the assurance on Monday at the inauguration of newly elected executives of the council.

Oladunjoye while describing the nature of the last election as free and fair commended the spirit of the winners and all who participated in the election.

“ I wish to most respectfully congratulate the new chairman and executives of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Ogun State Chapter.

We want to assure you that the government shall continue to provide a level playing ground as already demonstrated so far. The government will continue to keep its doors open to IPAC as a body and even to individual members/political parties for collaboration and cooperation.

He remarked that the definition of IPAC is completely consistent with the current administration’s political beliefs and style.

The newly elected chairman, Comrade Sanyaolu Abayomi in his address promised to be committed to upholding the principles of impartiality, fairness, and inclusivity.

Abayomi harped that IPAC should not be seen as not an opposition body but rather a platform for dialogue, and consensus-building among political parties and partners for good governance.

We want the state government and entire politicians in the Ogun state to give honor to IPAC. IPAC first is not working with the opposition, it is not an opposition body it is an open body to all political parties. So it cannot be used to endorse anybody.

“ If the government does well we would praise them and if they do otherwise we would challenge them.

A sideline of the event saw the unveiling of exercise books to be distributed to at least 20 secondary schools in the state’s three senatorial districts.
