We ‘ll continue to provide best health facilities to the people – Shomide, Abeokuta South LG chairman

The transition committee chairman of Abeokuta south local government, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide has said that the residents of Abeokuta South Local Government will continue to have full access to proper health care facilities in the state.

He also said that the current administration led by Prince Dapo Abiodun is working harder to ensure dividend of democracy among the citizens of the state by providing the best possible services to the people.

Shomide disclosed this on Sunday while handing over Medical equipment donated by the Rotary club of Obantoko, Abeokuta, to the Abeokuta South local govt health care centre at Fajol, Obantoko.

According to him, the governor of our dear state, Prince Dapo Abiodun has mentioned on numerous occasion on the need to improve our health care facilities by making it functional and effective where our people can be attended to before they can be referred to general hospital.

”The state government on its part is working harder to ensure the people at grassroots get quality, affordable and proper care in the state and as chairman of this local government I will continue to compliment Abiodun’s efforts by ensuring our people continue to enjoy health care facilities”

He appreciated the Rotary club for their gesture, saying that it is great support that would help improve the services expected to be given to residents of the community.

”On behalf of the people of Fajol community, I would like to thank you for your generous donation of nets, curtains, generator and electrophoresis to fajol health center. I will like to say a big thank to you once again and state that your support is greatly appreciated”. He concluded

Meanwhile, assistant to the district governor of Rotary club, both Lagos and Ogun state, Rtn Ebun Atinuke has called on the state government to collaborate with the club in providing for the needy people.

According to him, the club can not do it alone, we gave been trying our best but we need government’s support in putting smiles on the people’s faces.

He also said that apart from the donation, they are also going to empower twenty youths on entrepreneurship within the local government.
