Video: Jubilation in Ogun PDP as Court bars INEC from recognizing Ladi Adebutu’s faction

It was jubilation galore on Tuesday in some part of Ikenne, Ijebu ode, Sagamu and the Ogun State capital, Abeokuta, after a Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta, stopped the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognizing or accepting all the candidates produced by Hon. Ladi Adebutu’s faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State.

The court in its ruling declared the all the candidates produced by Hon Adebutu’s faction of the party must not be recognized and accepted by the electoral body.

Hon. Justice O.O Oguntoyinbo ordered that the party should immediately conduct fresh governorship primaries to accommodate all interests/groups.

However, the People Democratic party members who had gathered this morning at the Jimi Lawal campaign office at Ijebu to await the decision of the Hon. Justice O.O Oguntoyinbo rulling spontaneously burst into jubilation immediately they heard that the Federal high court had ruled in Jimi Lawal’s favour. The crowd moved in a motorcade around Ijebu ode, Ikenne and Abeokuta singing and dancing to popular jingle used by Jimi Lawal and Segun Sowunmi for his electioneering, leading to a traffic snarl on major roads.

Members started calling themselves on phones saying “Ladi ti Lule”
