Tinubu, First Lady Hail Pastor Adeboye at 84, Describe Him as “Spiritual Fortress”

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu have extended their warm congratulations to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), as he celebrates his 84th birthday on Monday, March 2, 2026.

In a tribute signed by the First Couple on Sunday, Pastor Adeboye was described as one of Nigeria’s “greatest gifts” and a “spiritual fortress” whose prayers and intercession have benefited the nation.

The President and First Lady praised the renowned cleric for his humility and deep wisdom, noting that his influence extends far beyond the pulpit. They highlighted his contributions to national development through philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.

“We celebrate the grace of stewardship and leadership upon the life of Pastor Adeboye, fondly called Daddy G.O., as he marks his 84th birthday,” the statement read.

The Tinubus joined his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, the entire RCCG congregation, and the Body of Christ in expressing gratitude to God for a life of impact that “transcends cultures and borders.”

They specifically acknowledged his “unceasing prayers for our nation” and commended his “patriotic zeal, manifest determination and commitment to Nigeria’s progress.”

The presidential tribute also recognised the unique leadership role of the respected clergyman, noting that his teachings over the past five decades continue to shape and transform lives across generations in Nigeria and the diaspora.

As Pastor Adeboye marks this milestone, the President and First Lady pray that God Almighty would continue to bless him with good health and strength as he carries on his work in the Lord’s vineyard.
