Ogun: Opposition parties pass vote of confidence on Gov. Abiodun.

No fewer than 16 political parties in Ogun state passed a vote of confidence and endorsement of good governance on Governor Dapo Abiodun.

This was disclosed on Monday by the convener of the Conference of Opposition Political Parties (COPP) in the state, Otunba Femi Sholuade at a press conference held at the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) secretariat, Iwe-Irohin, Abeokuta, the state capital.

Sholuade, who reeled out Abiodun’s achievements in various sectors of the state, including education, health, roads, and agriculture, said the governor has performed very well in the last 31 months in office.

According to him, the COPP went to the 20 local government areas in the state to observe and evaluate the performance of the current administration in each sector.

The convener commended the governor’s efforts to rehabilitate, reconstruct and construct roads in each senatorial district and for his intention to complete all abandoned road projects by previous administrations.

Sholuade lauded Abiodun’s performance in the agricultural sector, especially in the provision of inputs and the crediting of beneficiaries with over N1.5 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Anchor Borrowers Programme and the FGN/IFAD Ogun State Value Chain Programme.

The convener thanked the governor for creating an enabling environment through his administration’s all-inclusive mantra, stressing that members of the opposition parties are now holding various positions in his government.
