Ogun First Lady, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun Flags Off Free Cancer Screening on Tuesday


In commemoration of the 2020 Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the wife of the Ogun state governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun will on Tuesday flag off free breast and cervical cancer screening for women of child bearing age at the Oba Ademola Maternity Hospital, Ijemo, Abeokuta at 10.00am.

This is contained in a release signed by the Press Officer, Office of the First Lady, Mrs. Kemi Oyeleye on Monday.

The program, organized by the Office of the First Lady in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, and in partnership with Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Ogun state Chapter and some NGOs is to create awareness about cancer and emphasize the benefit of early detection in it’s treatment.

Women are advised to visit the Primary Health Centers in their various Local Governments for the free screening between Wednesday, 14th and Friday, 16th October, beginning from 9.00am daily.
