The Wife of the Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun today celebrated her 54th birthday with people associated with leprosy at the Hansens Disease Center, Iberekodo and Children of the Juvenile Correctional Home, Asero, Abeokuta.
Mrs. Abiodun said the less privileged were integral part of the society and should be treated as such to encourage them contribute their best to the development of the State.
She emphasized the need for her to continue to identify with them and make them have a sense of belonging as this according to her, gave her much satisfaction.
Mrs. Abiodun reiterated her commitment to the welfare of women, children and the less privileged in the state noting that the present administration would not relent in giving the needed support to them.
While at Hansens Disease Center, Mrs. Abiodun appreciated the medical staff and caregivers for taking good care of the people associated with leprosy promising the people at the colony of continued and improved care throughout the administration.
The head of people associated with leprosy, Mr. John Ojoawo, on behalf of others appreciated Mrs. Abiodun for her continued love and care for them which he traced back to years before the election of Prince Dapo Abiodun as Governor of Ogun State.
Mrs. Abiodun at the Juvenile Correctional Home, Asero, danced and cut her birthday cake with the children advising them to be well behaved and cooperate with their teachers and caregivers in nurturing them to be good citizens of the state.
She visited the colony and the correctional home with gifts of cash and food among others.
The events were graced by Wife of the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Mrs. Bolanle Oluomo, Wife of the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Derin Talabi, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Funmi Efuwape, Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe among others.
