Ogun First Lady, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun Becomes ANCOPSS Grand Matron

The wife of the Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has reiterated her commitment to the education of children and the education sector in Ogun state.

Mrs. Abiodun said this at her decoration by the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools(ANCOPSS), Ogun state branch as its Grand Matron during its 39th Annual Congress held at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode.

She said she remained passionate about the education of children in the state and would continue to give her full support for the actualization of the SDG goal 4 in making quality education available to all children.

” As the Champion of Sustainable Development Goals, I remain passionate and committed to SDG Goal 4, which is to ensure that all children are given quality education.’

While appreciating the ANCOPSS for the honor, Mrs. Abiodun commended the Principals for their diligence, discipline and dedication with which they had and to and impacted the lives of the students advising them not to relent bearing in mind that children were usually exposed to various vices in their teens.

She promised to continue to support the ANCOPSS as its Grand Matron and the entire education sector in general to make quality education affordable to all children in the state.

In her goodwill message, the Ogun state Head of Service, Mrs. Amope Chokor commended the efforts and contributions of ANCOPSS to the development of education in the state regarding them as true partners in progress.

She enjoined them to continue to maintain discipline among students and eschew indolence in the discharge of their duty of giving sound education adding that education is the greatest legacy that could be handed down to the young generation.

Earlier in her address, the President, Ogun ANCOPSS, Dr. Mrs. Olubunmi Womiloju expressed appreciation of the teachers to the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for prompt payment of salaries and the approval of the delayed 2016 and 2017 promotion for all grade levels in the teaching profession.

She pledged the body’s continued cooperation and collaboration with the present administration to ensure the achievements of the desired goals for the education industry.
