Odeda LG Boss, Semiu Bola Lawal Bags Best Performing LG Chairman in Ogun

The Chairman, Transition Committee of Odeda Local government in ogun state, Alhaji (Hon) Semiu Bola Lawal, has been awarded the Best Local Government Chairman in Ogun state at the National Youth Council of Nigeria Award Night organised by Ogun state chapter of National Youth Council of Nigeria.

The Chairman,NYCN, Com. Abdul-Jabar Ayelaagbe said the award was based on merit, adding that the committee went round the 20 local governments in Ogun state to physically assess projects carried out by the chairmen.

“At the end of that tour of the 20 local governments in Ogun, Odeda local Council happened to be the best as we were able to see some viable projects,” he said.

In his response, Hon Semiu Bola Lawal said the journey was tough during during Covid-19. He said things later improved as God continued to give him the support of the Odeda local government people.

“I see this award as a challenge to do more, it has opened my eyes to the fact that the world is watching. I assure the good people of Odeda to expect nothing less,” he said.

The ceremony was held at the Valley View Hotel, Isale Igbehin, Abeokuta on Wednesday
