Odeda LG Boss , Sembol Charges Residents on Covid-19 Vaccination

The Chairman, Transition Committee, Odeda Local Government, Hon Semiu Bola Lawal popularly known as Sembol has urged the residents of the local government area especially the essential and frontline workers to be vaccinated against the dreadful Coronavirus disease.

Hon. Lawal gave the charge shortly after taking a jab of the first batch of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine meant for essential and front line workers in his office on Wednesday 17th March, 2021.

According to the local government boss, he took the vaccine as a demonstration of leadership by example and a show of faith in the safety and efficacy of the vaccine. He, thereafter, urged the essential and frontline workers in the council area to present themselves for the vaccination.

Hon. Lawal who later displayed his vaccination card for the cameras expressed his appreciation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Executive Governor of Ogun State for his efforts at combating the COVID-19 scourge in the state.

Other principal officers who took the vaccine include Hon. Lekan Oluga, the Supervisor for Agriculture and natural Resources, Mrs Tayo Akintomide, the Head of Local Government Administration and other political and senior career officers of the Local Government.
