Kwankwaso loses another aide, Balaraba Ibrahim to APC
Balaraba Ibrahim, a former Special adviser on solid Minerals to former Governor of Kano state , Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso , has defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Balaraba also served at the same capacity as adviser to Ganduje before she voluntarily resigned and now make turn with her followers to APC.
The former adviser was received on Saturday night at Government House by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
She said with her entry into APC, the party stood 90 per cent chance of winning coming elections in 2019.
Balaraba said she left the PDP Kwankwasiyya because of impunity.
She said she was leaving Kwankwasiyya group because it was “necessary to depart now in line with the dictates of my conscience and highest level of sincerity.”
Receiving the defector, Governor Ganduje said the APC has been increasing in number, and expressed optimism that the party would take over the state in 2019.
Ganduje commended the defector for her courage and assured her of all necessary support and cooperation.
