Ipokia LG Boss, Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh Receives CAN, NOA Representatives
The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, on Wednesday, December 13, 2024, received separate courtesy visits from representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Yewa/Awori Zone and the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
During the meeting, Reverend Paul Adebisi, CAN Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, delivered a sermon, urging Hon. Avoseh to embody courage like Joshua from the Bible, praying for strength and wisdom to accomplish his mission ¹. Senior Apostle Dr Emmanuel Abiodun Idowole, Liason Officer of CAN Yewa/Awori Zone, emphasized the importance of cooperation between CAN and the Local Government, suggesting regular invitations for CAN to participate in Christianity-related programs ¹.
Hon. Avoseh pledged to address the Christian body’s requests in due course and thanked Reverend Adebisi for his role in the last election. The event was attended by the Head of Local Government Authority, Mr Emmanuel Pogbe, and Director of Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation, Mr Olatunji Jelili, alongside CAN representatives Reverend Paul Adebisi, Rev. (Dr.) Ademola Ayinla Isiah, Special Apostle Michael Wheto, and Madam Botiku Modupe Theresa ¹.
Immediately following the CAN visit, Mr Omotade Oyewole, Officer coordinating the National Orientation Agency in Ipokia Local Government, paid a courtesy call to Hon. Avoseh. Mr. Oyewole provided a comprehensive briefing on his agency’s operations, and Hon. Avoseh assured collaboration between the Local Government and the agency ¹.
