Ijebu North East LG Chairman, Hon.Badejo, Reaps Rewards of Diligent Leadership as Diaspora Community Pledges Support

Hon. Folusho Badejo, the Executive Chairman of Ijebu North East Local Government, has begun to reap the fruits of his diligent work as Nigerians living abroad have expressed their support for his administration, promising even more collaborations in the future.

On August 11, 2025, Hon. Folusho Badejo received a delegation led by Dr. Kunle Ogunfuwa, who outlined their mission to establish an IT Centre, renovate a block of classrooms, construct a recreation centre, and provide health and library facilities for the benefit of learners and the wider community.
In his remarks, Dr. Kunle Ogunfuwa commended the Executive Chairman for his outstanding leadership, stating that his transformative efforts were the reason for their support. He assured that more projects would be facilitated under Hon. Badejo’s administration, citing the Chairman’s commitment to making the local government a conducive environment for investors. Dr. Ogunfuwa also requested the Chairman’s assistance in two key areas:
1. Provision of accurate security measures
2. Deployment of additional classroom teachers
In his response, Hon. Folusho Badejo expressed gratitude for the partnership and praised the delegation for choosing Ijebu North East as the beneficiary of such a significant project. He assured them of his full support throughout the project’s execution and beyond, while also commending their past and ongoing interventions.
The Chairman highlighted several strategic measures already in place, including incentives to encourage teachers to remain in their assigned schools. He further promised free accommodation for educators as part of efforts to enhance the quality of education in the area.
The delegation was urged to continue their good work, with Hon. Badejo reaffirming his commitment to transforming Ijebu North East into a model local government.
