Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency: Hon. Adijat Declares House of Reps Ambition, Unveils Agenda

Ogun State – A frontline aspirant for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general election, Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, has formally declared her ambition before party executives and stalwarts at Ward 6 in the Ajuwon/Akute area of Ifo Local Government Area.

Adeleye, a former Commissioner in Ogun State, made the declaration at a meeting presided over by the Ward Chairman, Kabir Ajibola. She described her decision to commence her political campaign from her premier ward as symbolic, proving her deep-rooted connection to the people.

“I am glad this is a gathering of our party leaders, grassroots mobilizers, youth groups, women leaders, and critical stakeholders gathered in large numbers at our ward level, united by a shared belief in purposeful leadership and a collective desire for progress,” she said. “Indeed, this is significant in the birth of a renewed vision.”

Speaking passionately about her commitment to the constituency, Adeleye described her aspiration as a call to service driven by responsibility, experience, and a genuine desire to make a difference. She noted that her decision to contest is a response to the yearnings of the people for effective representation and inclusive development that reflects equity.

She expressed appreciation to Governor Dapo Abiodun for appointing her as a Commissioner and for his support, particularly commending the completed and ongoing road infrastructure projects in her local government, especially in the Ajuwon/Akute ward.

Adeleye outlined her vision for what she called “a rebirth of a new Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency,” one that reflects the dynamism, diversity, and economic potential of its people.

“Central to my plans is the prioritization of economic empowerment and job creation, particularly for youths and women,” she said. She added that she would support small and medium-scale enterprises, promote vocational training, and attract investments to stimulate local industries.

She also reaffirmed her commitment to responsive and inclusive representation, promising open channels of communication with constituents.

In attendance were the Local Government party chairman, Barr. Oduwole Olumide; Otunba Muraina Banjoko, an aspirant for the Ogun Central Senatorial District; state assembly aspirants; and other party stalwarts.
