Adigbe, Itesiwaju, Ita-Baale/Oluwo CDCs Hail Obafemi Owode LG Boss Over 1.3km Road Project

The three Community Development Committees (CDCs) of Adigbe, Itesiwaju, and Ita-Baale/Oluwo have paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Ambassador Adesina Lanre Ogunsola, to commend him for the construction of the 1.3-kilometre Ita-Baale/Oluwo asphalt road in Adigbe.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of Adigbe Area CDC, Alhaji (Hon.) Adebayo Adesanya, expressed joy that the long-neglected road had finally been reconstructed, noting that the council boss had promised to fix it during an earlier engagement with the community.

The council chairman, while receiving the delegation, charged the CDC members to sustain their loyalty and support for the government, describing the road project as the beginning of more developmental infrastructure in the area. He urged the committees to help protect the new road by restricting heavy-duty vehicles, a step he said would complement the ongoing Panseke–Adigbe–Obada-Oko road project being executed by Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Ambassador Ogunsola also called on the community leaders to back the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In their remarks, Chief Babatunde Jamiu Yusuf, Baale in Council, Adigbe, lauded the chairman’s performance and, like Oliver Twist, requested a suitable market centre and additional security support for the area.

The chairman thereafter approved a restriction order on heavy-duty vehicles plying the newly constructed road to ensure its durability.

Other CDC leaders present included Alhaji S.A. Ajia, Mr Abiodun Olufemi, and Seriki Olanrewaju Yekinni.
