.. Lunches Dapo Abiodun 2nd Term Agenda

The Special Adviser to the Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, on Political matters, Honorable Adebiyi Adeleye on Sunday said that he has sacrificed his House of Representatives aspiration in 2023. He said this is to enable him have 100% concentration in mobilizing supports for Prince Dapo Abiodun second term agenda.

Former House of Assembly member who represented Remo constituency in 2015-2019, Adeleye disclosed this at the All Progressive Congress Remo Federal Constituency meeting held in Isara, Remo North Local Government.

Noting that while APC primaries guidelines are yet to be made public in line with the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), it is important to officially inform his supporters, followers, party members and other stakeholders that he had shelved the 2023 house of representatives project for the support of his principal, Prince Dapo Abiodun re-election for the second term.

“If it will help the governor win the 2023 governorship election, I am ready and prepare to make and I have made the sacrifice” he said

“Words are not enough to convey my debt of gratitude to my supporters, leaders and stakeholders of our great party within Remo North, Sagamu and Ikenne local government Areas and beyond who has shown interest in my House of Representatives Aspiration. We are convinced that with God on our side and the massive support of the people, victory is ours come 2023 for Prince Dapo Abiodun.”

He further described the importance of the Ogun State governor in his political life as that of a demigod whose voice he must listen to for the greater good of the whole state.

According to him “I cannot only smell the amount of displeasure in this room having made my decision known but I can also see the anguish boldly written on your faces. The governor is like a demigod to me, if in my capacity in my current role the governor feels it is better to serve the whole state instead of representing only my constituency then so be it”.

Reacting to the rather shocking announcement representatives from the 3 LGs raised concerns the party’s chances in the forthcoming election if it failed to present a popularly accepted candidate. “You all have to trust the decision of the party and that of Mr Governor in his decision. The National Convention of the party will be held soon after which we expect the party to decide on choice of candidates but I can assure you Prince Dapo Abiodun won’t watch an incapable or unpopular candidate represent us” Adeleye said in his response.
