How 72-year-old Atiku won PDP’s presidential ticket
Atiku Abubakar has emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary election.
He received the highest number of votes in the exercise which was held in Port Harcourt from Saturday to Sunday.
He scored 1,532 votes, while his closest rival, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, polled 693.
There were a total of 3,274 accredited delegates, with Datti Baba-Ahmed getting five votes and rooted to the bottom of the table.
