Hon. Amusan Felicitates with Ogun People on Eid-al-Adha, Calls for Unity and Sacrifice

A Prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State and two-term member of the House of Representatives, Hon. (Chief) Dr Jelili Kayode Amusan (JKA), has extended warm greetings to Muslims in the state and worldwide on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha 2025.

In a statement issued on Friday, Amusan urged citizens to embrace the values of faith, sacrifice, and unity for the continued progress and security of Ogun State. He emphasized the importance of reflection, prayer, and acts of kindness during the festive period.

Highlighting the significance of Eid-al-Adha, the lawmaker noted that the celebration symbolizes obedience to Allah’s will, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). He called on pilgrims performing the Arafat rites to pray for peace, unity, and an end to insecurity in the state, while also acknowledging the supplications of those observing the fast at home.

Amusan also offered prayers for abundant rainfall and a bountiful harvest, stating, *”This year’s Eid coincides with the rainy season, which is crucial for our farmers. I pray for good rain and a prosperous harvest. Agriculture remains the backbone of our economy, and I encourage our people to leverage the farming and business support programs under Governor Dapo Abiodun’s ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda.”*

He further urged well-meaning Nigerians to extend kindness to the less privileged, emphasizing that *”Eid is about sacrifice and generosity—even small acts of goodwill can make a significant impact.”*

The APC stalwart called for sustained prayers for Ogun State and Nigeria, expressing optimism that *”through unity, hard work, and divine mercy, we will overcome all challenges.”*

The statement concluded with prayers for a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration across the state.
