Ogunsola to Commission People-Oriented Projects Across Obafemi Owode

The Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, is set to commission another set of people-oriented projects across various wards of the council as part of his administration’s efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of life of residents.

The two-day commissioning programme, scheduled for Thursday, August 27, and Monday, August 31, 2026, will cover projects in education, water supply, commerce, road infrastructure and administrative facilities.

On Thursday, August 27, the commissioning activities will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the commissioning of the Motor-Way Culvert at Oloko-Isu Street, Ifelodun Jaguna CDA, off Laderin Train Station Road, Egbeda Ward.

At 11:00 a.m., the chairman will commission a block of two classrooms, a Head Teacher’s Office and a store at Owojo, Ajebo Ward, while a block of two classrooms at N.U.D. Primary School, Mowe, Ofada Ward, will be commissioned at 1:00 p.m.

The day’s activities will continue at 2:30 p.m. with the commissioning of a motorised borehole at Alufa Village, Ajura Ward, before the reconstructed Information, Education and Agriculture Departments Block at the Local Government Secretariat is commissioned at 3:30 p.m.

The second day of the programme, Monday, August 31, will commence at 11:00 a.m. with the commissioning of ten lock-up shops at Kajola Market.

At 1:00 p.m., a block of two classrooms and an office at United Anglican Primary School, Moloko Asipa, will be commissioned, followed by the commissioning of the 1.3-kilometre asphalt road linking Ita Baale Mango, Oluwo and Adigbe at 2:00 p.m.

According to the Local Government, the projects form part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to deliver sustainable development, strengthen basic infrastructure and provide tangible dividends of democracy to residents across Obafemi Owode.

The council also said the initiatives are intended to complement the infrastructural development efforts of the Ogun State Government under the leadership of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON.

Residents, community leaders, stakeholders and well-wishers have been invited to participate in the commissioning ceremonies.
